The 2025 Regional Nile Development and Cooperation Conference aims to foster constructive dialogue and practical collaboration among Nile Basin countries in the evolving context of dialogue on GERD operations and CFA implementation. This conference seeks to address the challenges and opportunities presented by these significant developments while promoting sustainable and equitable use of the Nile’s resources. By bringing together policymakers, technical experts, researchers, and stakeholders, the conference will create a platform for meaningful exchange and sharing of ideas.
Discussion will help identify and promote practical pathways for joint development initiatives that can benefit all riparian states. This includes exploring opportunities in hydropower coordination, irrigation development, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation. The conference will also entertain ideas on critical technical aspects such as data sharing.
